Meeting on UW light rail station set for December 2

""
Submitted by Ray Marcham on Friday, November 20th, 01:54pm

What does Sound Transit have planned for the construction of the light rail station by Husky Stadium?  You can find out during a community meeting on December 2.

The meeting will go from 6-8 p.m. at the Museum of History & Industry at 2700 24th Avenue E.  You can meet Sound Transit officials and the contractor who will build the station.

Among the items to be discussed will be the temporary closure of the Burke-Gilman Trail during UW's winter break to install the electrical bank that will help power the station, the partial closure of Montlake Boulevard during the construction and the design of the station itself.

It will be a great opportunity to discuss the project with the people who are building it and what light rail will be like when it starts service to the UW campus in 2013.
